Living near a number of tall tress, every autumn we get a large number of leaves in our gutters, while the possibility of snails and mice ending up the the rainwater butt is a year-round problem.
Researching products available to buy, they seemed too large to fit under the overhanging roof tiles, while reviews spoke of the products blowing away in strong winds.
My solution was to design a low-profie guard that would sit below the level of the gutter.
Using the Solidworks 3D design package, I created an initial concept, leading to a prototype being 3D printed and modified to create a perfect fit into the downpipe.
