From 1999 to 2002, I studied for a degree in Transport Design at the University of Huddersfield.
This foundation led to a decade working in the automotive industry, designing for Vintage Motor Company, Clarks Vehicle Conversions and RS Motorhomes.
Building upon my core CAD skills in Solidworks and AutoCAD, I became conversant in Rhino and SolidEdge. This expertise allowed me to drive the design of bespoke vintage-style vans, funeral vehicles, commercial van interior conversions, and the full interior layout and exterior styling of luxury motorhomes.
Expanding into manufacturing, I took on CNC programming using SolidCAM, AlphaCAM, and Lantek Expert to program parts for in-house 3 and 5-axis CNC machines and laser cutters.
My responsibilities also extended to component sourcing, where I successfully spearheaded major inititives for weight and cost savings while also navigating Type Approval legislation.
